The introduction of the X-ray has resulted in great im-
provement in the methods of diagnosis and treatment of these
conditions. All roots which are to be treated and filled should

frequent intervals during the progress of the various proce-

dures, as well as at the completion of the root filling opera-
tion, in order that the progress of the work may be revealed
