Meetings of the Hoard of Dental iCxaminers of the State of
Maine are held annnally at .Ani^usta. Each applicant is recpiired
to bring- gold foil and such instruments and ai)pliances as he may
recpiire in operating on the teeth. Kach a])plicant must also
secure his ])atients lor the operations in advance, and each will
he recpiired to prepare the cavity and insert in the mouth at least
one cohesive and one non-cohcsi\e gold filling, the former to be
in a ])roximal cavity.
Theoretical examinations will be in writing, and all answers
must be written in ink.
As a part of this examination, each applicant is recjuired to
bring two human teeth mounted in plaster with a root between
them, and to have cap and post fitted to the root, and a facing
fitted and backed for the same. This must be soldered in the
presence of some member of the board.
The application must be filed and the fee ui twenty dollars
must be paid before examination.

dentistry.
Two examinations are held annually, one in May and the
other in November.
No special examination for those already in practice, but
those who have been in ethical practice for five or more years
will be allowed a credit of five points for the first five years and
one additional point for each additional year. The rule is to
examine all graduates, but in the cases of practitioners of long
practice and undoubted standing, the board may register without
examination.
No interchange of license.
