walrus are preferred by him, "because they are covered by enamel and therefore
last longer and hold their color better than all other materials."
He describes the construction of artificial teeth upon remaining roots and
their preparation pivot teeth. Tie filled the root canal with lead and prepared
the foundation for the artificial tooth which was to be placed upon this root;
then lie introduced an awl and formed a liole in the lead that had been
