its seal and the hand of its president and secretary, issue to all
persons who shall successfully pass said exainination, its license
to practice dentistry in this State ; the hoard may also, without
the examination herein ahovc provided for, issue its license to
any applicant therefor who shall furnish proof satisfactory to it
that he has heen duly licensed after examination to practice den-
tistry in any State after full compliance with all the re<|uirements
of its dental laws; i)rovided, however, that his ])r()fessional edu-
cation shall not be less than that retpiired in this State; every
hcense so given shall state upon its face the grounds upon which
it is granted and the apphcant may be required to furnish his
proof ui)on affidavit; fee for such hcense shall be twenty-five
dollars.
Revocation of License.
Ui)on presentation to the board of a certified copy of a

court record, showing that a practitioner of dentistry has been
convicted of felony or misdemeanor, that fact may be noted upon
the record of license, and tlie Hcense and registration shall be
marked canceled ; any person whose license shall be so canceled
shall be deemed an unhcensed person, and, as such, subject to
the penalties prescribed for other unlicensed persons who prac-
tise dentistry.
2. Section eight of the act of which this act is amendatory
be and the same is hereby amended so that it shall read as
follows
8. This act shall not be construed to prohibit an unlicensed
person from performing mechanical work upon inert matter in a
dental oflfice or laboratory; or to prohibit a duly licensed physi-
cian from treating the diseases of the mouth or performing opera-
tions in oral surgery ; nothing in the provisions of this act shall
be construed to permit the performance of dental operations by
any unlicensed person under cover of the name of a registered
practitioner; any person shall be regarded as practising dentistry
within the meaning of this act who shall advertise by sign, card,
circular, pamjjhlet, or newspaper, or otherwise indicate that he
will perform by himself or his agents or servants any operation
on or make examination of, with intent of performing or causing
to be performed any operation on the human teeth or jaws, or
who is manager, proprietor or conductor of a place where dental
operations are performed, or who shall use the words or letters
•'Doctor of Dental Surgery." or "D.D.S." or "D.M.D." in connec-
tion with his or her name, or any other title intended to imply or
designate him or her as a practitioner of dentistry, or who in con-
nection with such title or titles, or without the use of such titles
or any of them shall treat or profess to treat, either by himself
