Numbers one to seven inclusive are for building
foil gold. These instruments have the same sized
serrations and are made in conformity with the
principles taught in Chapters XIX and XX. In-
struments numbers eight to twelve inclusive are
for building fiber gold. These five instruments
have serrations specially adapted for use on this
form of gold. In changing from foil builders to
fiber gold builders or vice versa the surface of
the gold should be gone entirely over, before add-
ing the differently prepared gold, with the instru-
ment with which the operator expects to condense
the new gold.
